A limited number of academic scholarships are available each semester for current AIS students enrolled in Level 5 diploma, Level 6 diploma, bachelor degree and graduate diploma programmes.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of excellence of academic results over the previous two semesters, and take the form of a reduction in tuition fees for further study in the programme. Factors other than academic excellence in academic results may be taken into consideration when awarding scholarships, and achievement of the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) does not imply automatic entitlement.
Two levels of scholarship are available:
- Academic Excellence Scholarship valued at 15% of tuition fees for the next semester, requiring a minimum GPA of 6.5
- Academic Merit Scholarship valued at 10% of tuition fees for the next semester, requiring a minimum GPA of 5.5
How to Apply
Academic Scholarship Application Forms are available from Student Services - Administration and must be submitted before the end of the first week of each semester.
Excellent performance by current AIS students in postgraduate diploma and master degree programmes is recognised by the award of certificates and trophies. No application is necessary.
Each semester, the results for postgraduate students who have achieved 10 or more, and 20 or more, modules are reviewed. A GPA is calculated on the first 10 or 20 module results, and where a GPA of 6.0 or above has been achieved, a “Certificate of Academic Excellence in Postgraduate Studies” and a trophy will be awarded.
Students who have already received an award for their first 10 modules, who then achieve a GPA of 6.0 or above for 20 modules, will be awarded a “Certificate of Sustained Academic Excellence in Postgraduate Studies” and a trophy.
A “Recognition of Academic Achievement Ceremony” is held each semester for the award of all undergraduate/graduate scholarships and postgraduate certificates and trophies.
