Information Technology Technician

Auckland Institute of Studies is one of New Zealand’s largest private tertiary education providers and has a distinctive international focus. We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Technician to join our Information Technology Department in a great city fringe location with parking included.

We are looking for a Technician with ability, attitude and drive. This is an opportunity to join a company which will value your development and give you the tools to grow skills and succeed. This is an exciting and diverse role will see you supporting and maintaining the complex IT infrastructure. At this level you will be responsible for high level support as well as project delivery and some design work. We require a candidate with a consultative approach and solutions focus in the IT systems space. This role is in a Microsoft focused environment supporting end users, so you will be required to have hands on working knowledge of MS products, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL server etc. We seek candidates with a knowledge of or hands on networking experience (LAN/WAN, switching, routing, firewalls etc). This is a team environment and one where you will be actively working with academic staff and students, so we expect strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism. Student Services Support

Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS) is one of the largest internationally recognised private tertiary providers with over 28 years’ experience in New Zealand.

Based at our St Helens Campus and reporting to the Manager Student Support, your role will be responsible for supporting members of the Student Support team including organising student orientation, student events and the Student Council.You will be part of a small team working together to support our international students from over 40 different countries.

The role requires a person with marketing and administration experience who is accurate, organised and pays attention to detail; somebody who knows how to organise and prioritise, and work to deadlines. We require a person who is flexible, a self-starter, motivated, empathetic and enjoys working in a multi–cultural environment.

Duties include:

We will provide training and support to the right person. The role requires a person fluent in English with a customer focus, a hardworking team player and enjoys working in an environment which offers diversity and challenge.

Salary $37,000pa to $42,000pa.
